Austin, TX July 28, 2010 – Sierra Systems Inc., a leader in management consulting, systems integration and managed services, and its partner Metatomix, a leading provider of semantic solutions to industries including justice and public safety, today announced the City of Austin has awarded both companies with contracts to provide an Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) for the Austin Regional Intelligence Center (ARIC).
The City of Austin selected Sierra and Metatomix as part of the technology platform for ARIC. This technology platform will implement a crime records information sharing solution, based on the Metatomix JDX platform, for the ARIC partners. The Metatomix system uses Information Exchange Package Definitions (IEPDs) that allow the ARIC partner agencies to easily send their crime records data to ARIC. Additionally, the scope of work includes the creation of data transformation elements to be implemented by Sierra, Metatomix and ARIC member staff.
